Ms V get a Milk Bone if she will nurse the Pups! This started several litters ago when she was reluctant to nurse them since they had gotten their teeth. She still remembers since when I give her a bone she immediately goes to nurse the pups. I love it!

I went out to exercise the dogs and feed them for the night when I got an October Surprise....When I was putting them back into their room for the night, Mr, Big Guy and Lucy wouldn't go in...It was then I heard Ms V whining. Well....it wasn't Ms V.. Meet Mr & Ms V's two little pups.

As I reflect on this day and it's meaning, I remember my Mother and how we always had a red rose pinned on our dress and Mother had either a White Rose or the most beautiful Orchid you could buy. I am saddened to think I need to wear a white one now.
I remember my loved ones that are to be honored for them being a Mother. \
I have grown to understand that you don't have to have children to be a Mother. You can have students that you nurture, love ones that you think of as your own. Babies that you love as a child like my Hanu, Tess and Mr & Ms V and Lucy and Big Guy. I know many men that have stepped into the role of the Mother due to their children's need for that nurturing love.
