To Our Valued Customers and Partners,

Amid the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak we want to update you on action taken by the Watermark Group LLC to maintain business operations. Watermark has a robust continuity plan and we’ve taken precautionary measures, in accordance with guidance from government and public health authorities, to ensure the health and well-being of our customers, employees and their families.

We want to emphasize that Watermark remains open for business and is committed to carrying out our work for our customers under these challenging circumstances. We have also instituted several policies to reduce the risk of potential transmission, notably:

Remote Work: Most of our employees are now working virtually from their homes. Watermark has extensive online collaboration capabilities for our employees to communicate with each other, our customers, subcontractors, vendors and suppliers. Our team members continue to be available to connect with you by phone, video messaging and email.

Travel Restrictions: We have instituted travel restrictions and mandated self-isolation for any team member showing symptoms, or who have reason to believe they have been exposed. To date we do not have any Watermark employees with reported infection symptoms.

Events & Tradeshows: We are currently deferring social events, large meetings and leveraging technology to hold virtual meetings. All of Watermark’s mid-year Outlook events will now be held virtually. Please watch for more information on these events that will be made available in future communications.

Construction Forecast Update:
Over the past few days we’ve received numerous inquiries from clients and press alike about how the coronavirus and subsequent economic fallout might affect our forecast for construction starts in 2020. With the situation rapidly evolving, we felt it prudent to let you know when you can expect to see an updated starts forecast.

Our next forecast cycle officially begins when preliminary starts data for March (and thus the first quarter) is released on April 1. However, we are currently assessing the economic implications of the crisis and looking to past economic cycles and events to gauge how our econometric models might react to the current crisis.

Clear communication plays an important role during these challenging times and Watermark is committed to providing ongoing communications as the situation evolves.
