For the past 12 years, we've been building friendships, fostering independence, exploring our community, and creating opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to learn, grow, and thrive.

This week, we are celebrating this special milestone together, and we're excited for all that's still to come. Thank you to everyone who has been part of our story… we couldn't do it without you!

🍎🎲 B-I-N-G-O... and learning, too!

Our participants had a blast during Cooking Class playing Food Bingo! This fun activity encouraged everyone to explore different food groups, discover new foods they may want to try, and share some of their personal favorites with friends.

Learning about nutrition doesn't have to be boring, it can be interactive, social, and full of laughter! Activities like these help build communication skills, confidence, and healthy habits while creating meaningful connections with peers.

Every game is another opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun together! 💚💜

🧗 New heights. New opportunities. ☀️

This week, our participants took their very first climb attempt in “Ability on the Rocks”, one of our newest classes introduced this summer at PTO!

After a tour, learning the basics and getting fitted for their climbing gear last week, it was finally time to hit the wall and they did an amazing job! From first-time climbers conquering their fears to peers encouraging each other, it was inspiring to watch confidence grow with every hold and every step upward.

At Pathways to Opportunity, we believe growth happens when we challenge ourselves, support one another, and celebrate every victory… BIG or small! We can't wait to see where this adventure takes our climbers next! 💙

Last week the ladies from the Center for Independent Living as well as Amanda Cochran, candidate for Lee County Commissioner, shared time with us for a behind-the-scenes look at all that Pathways to Opportunity has to offer.

During their visit, they learned about our innovative programs, met some of our incredible participants & saw firsthand how we're empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through community engagement, life skills, recreation, adaptive sports, volunteerism & meaningful connections.
