I would like to thank ABC11 WTVD and Michael Perchick WTVD for taking the time to interview me about the passing of Kyle Busch and his legacy. Those that didn't know him personally saw a tough racer on the track nick named "Rowdy". All that got to know him personally got to see just another person, a husband, dad, friend, and fellow racer. I was fortunate to be able to see him on a regular basis between Brexton Busch racing at Wake County Speedway or at the Summer Shootout. He was always willing to speak to you, take pictures, or of course as Phoenyx Kimball Racing and I did, even do impromptu interviews! It was an honor to know him even for a short time. He and Samantha have raised a phenomenal young man in Brexton and I'm looking forward to watching him continue his journey. Prayers continue to be with Samantha, Lenix, Brexton, and the rest of the Busch family.

Racing community mourns NASCAR legend Kyle Busch's legacy on, off the track NASCAR drivers and fans are remembering Kyle Busch not only for his success on the track, but for the impact he made off it.

11 years ago I won a hat and a flag at Wake County Speedway! Who knew I would end up being so blessed to win over 40 races at the 🐂 💍! All of those kids in the stands could be our future racers. As drivers it’s our job to make them feel welcome, show them the ropes, and get them involved! I was one of those kids that needed it and am so grateful!

Wow is all that I can say…. Very sad day in the racing world. Rest in peace.

We are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our sport's greatest and fiercest drivers. He was 41 years old.

We extend our deepest condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and the entire motorsports community.
