If you run Local Services Ads, there is one thing you need to do before August — and once your account migrates, you cannot undo it.

Google is moving Local Services Ads into the main Google Ads platform as Performance Max pay-per-lead campaigns. The standalone LSA dashboard is being retired. The first wave hits in August 2026 for U.S. home service advertisers: plumbing, HVAC, electrical, appliance repair, house cleaning, lawn care, roofing, pest control, and moving.

Here is the part that matters: your campaign performance history does NOT transfer.

Past impressions, clicks, weekly spend, and ad-level reports will not exist in Google Ads — and you lose access to the old dashboard the day your account moves. Your lead history carries over. Your benchmarks do not. Google's own Ads Product Liaison told advertisers to download their historical data "ASAP."

Export your reports now. Not when the 14-day warning email shows up.

Two more things worth knowing:

• Despite the "Performance Max" name, these campaigns stay keywordless and run only on Google Search and Maps — the exact same placements as today. Your budget is not going to the Display Network.

• Manual cost-per-lead bidding is going away, and one campaign-level Target CPA will replace your per-service targets. If a drain cleaning lead and a full system replacement are worth wildly different amounts to you, that needs a plan before you migrate.

We wrote the full breakdown — phase-by-phase timeline, exactly what transfers and what doesn't, and a 7-step migration checklist:
