Hey! It’s Claire! 2025 has already been such an exciting year for Designs Plus Events and I wanted to take a moment to share what’s been happening behind the scenes…

• Location Change — After 7+ years of living in the desert of Arizona, 🌵life brought me back to the Midwest farm fields of Illinois 🌾 where I grew up and started my career in the wedding and event industry! I love being home, but a part of my heart will always be in Arizona so I’ll continue sharing images of my Arizona weddings & events and giving shoutouts to my Arizona vendor friends there! I LOVE traveling back to Arizona so if you’re getting married or hosting an event in the desert and you’d like me to plan it — let’s chat!

• Weddings & Events — Designs Plus Events is now based in Central Illinois again and I’m excited to be working with local wedding & event planning clients in Bloomington-Normal and the surrounding areas! I have years of experience at so many of the local venues and love working with new ones. I am experienced at coordinating weddings & events in the summer humidity ☀️and the winter snow. ❄️ If you’re planning your wedding or event locally — I’d love to hear from you!

• Brand Refresh — Sometimes you just need a refresh and I knew Designs Plus Events was ready for that too! The new look of Designs Plus Events matches the incredible client experience my company is known for! With the location change, it felt like the perfect time to refresh the logo, website and social media too! I’m so excited about my new brand photos (Shout out to Hannah !) and the new logo I’ve already been teasing (Thank you )!

• Clients — Your planning experience was already amazing, but it’s now even better! I have new planning tools I’m so excited about that you’ll get to experience while we plan your event together! Planning with Designs Plus Events continues to be a collaborative, fun, and personalized experience!! ✨

Happy National Best Friends Day and Happy Anniversary to my husband! The one who has been my best friend, teammate, and dancing partner for so many years! The one who is always encouraging me and who has helped me build Designs Plus Events into what it is today! 💕

I will ALWAYS recommend to my couples to take the time for one dance in your empty venue with just the two of you so you can cherish the moment together — whether it’s before the guests arrival or as we’re lining them up for your exit, I promise it’s a magical moment!
