Your probably already know this but thought to share it anyway 😘

This is one of the many faces of IBS. You probably don’t know this, but I’ve struggled with gut issues since I was a little girl. You don’t know this because I never shared it with you.

I was afraid that if you knew I was looking for the bathroom when we walked in somewhere you’d think I was weird.

I was afraid that if you knew I didn’t hang out that one time because I was afraid I’d have to use a toilet in public, you wouldn’t like me anymore.

I was afraid that if you knew I curl up in a tight little ball and cry from the pain that you’d think I was weak.

I was afraid. Ashamed. Wondering what was wrong with me.

But that’s NOT ME anymore.

Now, I’m FREE. I’m in control.

I live my life on MY terms, not my guts.

I know what’s really going on. I’ve healed my gut. Sure, I still have occasional bad days, but they are rare and I know why they happen.

I know what to do to soothe and get back in the driver’s seat.

Christmas is full of nostalgia for me. I remember being so excited, my brothers and I would wake at the crack of dawn and creep downstairs to check if santa had been.

I vividly remember the smells of Christmas floating throughout the house, and even tho I don’t remember every single present, I’ll never forget how happy everyone was.

Because that’s what really matters, isn’t it?

Spending time with those you love. ❤️

But always striving for that little bit more and never truly feeling comfortable has been my key to success.
