If I’m being honest, I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. If I had to tell little me what we do now, she’d ask if I was happy, and that would measure success.
I would tell her how strong we have become.
I’d tell her that her strong feelings weren’t a weakness, and that they’d actually set her apart one day from a world that feels numb and unfeeling.
I’d tell her nothing was her fault.
I’d tell her it isn’t easy, but you’ll meet others that’ll make it easier, and make them feel seen also.

I honestly couldn’t have imagined a better way to spend a weekend snowed in during my nyc trip with and the kindest people ever 🧡
amika means friend, and I truly felt that on this trip in both big and small ways- from recognizing familiar faces that save you a chair, to the new friends that would just walk right up to you and offer to help you take a photo and introduce themselves, to the care everyone took getting us home safely and coordinating accommodations!
Being in a room full of kind and highly skilled creatives such as these has really empowered me and inspired me in a way I haven’t ever felt before. Younger me would be intimidated, but current me knows how lucky I am to be on the list and learn🖤
Big things coming, just you wait.
