Finishing touches on another interior barn door for a client. Correction: Slippery Elm door with walnut accent cross boards. 82"x52"x1.75" easily 400lbs! Heavy door indeed!

I haven't posted in awhile but after a thoroughly satisfying round of hand planing, I thought it fitting. There is nothing quite like the feeling of satisfaction of creating something simple using a basic hand plane. I needed to match a profile to replace a drip cap for some exterior trim. I could have used a router, sure, but this just seemed easier and much more rewarding. If you've ever considered getting into wood working as a hobby and haven't, I highly recommend it and am always happy to discuss.
