CPR saves lives!

The Memorial Park Concert and Fireworks Show was a hit! 🤘🎆 We estimate 65,000-75,000 of you came out to enjoy the evening.
Thankfully, most everyone was safe to enjoy the event, with one notable exception.
One man went into cardiac arrest, stopped breathing, and had no pulse. Omaha Police officers were alerted by folks in the crowd, and immediately began life-saving efforts - including CPR - until OFD medics arrived with an AED. Officers and medics rushed him out of the crowd and into an ambulance. He is expected to survive.
We are grateful to the folks in the crowd for alerting our officers, so they could give this man CPR. Thank you for rushing to get aid.
We are very proud of our officers who administered high-quality CPR. Without their quick actions, and quick access to high-level medical care, we hate to think how this could have turned out.
