There’s something powerful that happens when doulas gather with intention.
Last night inside our Shades of Motherhood Doula Care Call, we had 8 doulas show up fully present, deeply engaged, and ready to serve.
Together, we provided prenatal support to a mother and her husband, holding space, offering guidance, and ensuring they felt seen and supported in this sacred season.
At the same time, we were actively coordinating care for multiple families in our pipeline because this work doesn’t happen in isolation.
This is what makes our model different.
•Mentorship in real time
•Community that collaborates, not competes
•Hands-on skills practice that builds confidence and competence
Our doulas aren’t just learning, they’re doing.
They’re being sharpened, supported, and stretched in a space that prioritizes both excellence and care.
Maternal health deserves providers who are prepared, connected, and grounded in both skill and compassion. That’s what we’re building here.
And we’re just getting started.

The Business of Birth: Aligning Passion and Profit, was such a dynamic workshop w today!
Sooo grateful for the engagement, feedback, the participants shared.
Birthworkers are each unique individuals, our businesses should reflect that😅
It was an honor to iterate, tweak, and guide the audience through reflective assessments of themselves and their businesses and passion points.
I love doulas, period✨
I want to see us all THRIVE, not just survive✨
Let’s GROW…..together ✨

Postpartum healing moves like music, sometimes smooth, sometimes messy, always deeply felt.
At the PSI Conference in New Orleans, we shared a new rhythm for understanding postpartum care rooted in jazz, blues, and cultural wisdom.
One attendee said:
“I loved the musical undertone and really appreciated hearing about trauma-informed care being the s**t part of care. This all helped me refocus and center on how I want to provide care.”
The room was full, the energy was deep, and the engagement was REAL.
