Slovak transport authority has granted airworthiness certificate to a flying car πβ
The AirCar, which is a hybrid car-airplane with a BMW engine, can fly at speeds of up to 160 km/h and reach an altitude of about 2,500 metres. Within 2 minutes and 15 seconds, the car can transform into an aircraft. πππ«
The inventor of AirCar, Stefan Klein, said the certification "opens the door for mass manufacturing of very efficient flying automobiles". π©
In June, the AirCar already completed flights between the international airports in Nitra and Bratislava in Slovakia. Other companies are also working on cars that can fly. The AirCar still requires a pilot. Some companies are already working on unmanned air taxis.π¬
