I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the Össur family for inviting me to participate and exhibit at National Assembly focused on the benefits of Orthopedics and Prosthetics. It is truly an honor to be included in such a prestigious event, and I am thrilled by the technological advancement and innovations in prosthetics.

I’m a user of Össur’s Proprio foot; it is an adaptive microprocessor-controlled ankle that helps imitate the natural walking motion of a foot, in-turn making it safer for my day-to-day activities. It easily improves toe clearance with every step I take and adjusts to what ever terrain I am moving along. (e.g. when I climb stairs, walk up hills, uneven sidewalks, etc. my ankle reads the level of the ground and adjusts accordingly).

As an active individual I rely heavily on the performance of my prosthetic foot to maintain my independence. Previously, I mentioned that the Proprio foot allows a great improvement on my overall mobility, but there are also a few other features that I benefit from as well. My Proprio foot is waterproof, which takes away the hassle of having to remove the prosthesis to engage in water-based activities. I can also adjust the settings of my foot and monitor my daily steps via Össur Logic app.
