What does 10 mesh, 13 mesh, or 18 mesh actually mean? đȘĄ
If youâre new to needlepoint, this is one of the first terms youâll hearâand one of the most confusing!
Mesh refers to the number of holes per inch on a needlepoint canvas. A 10-mesh canvas has 10 holes per inch, a 13-mesh canvas has 13, and an 18-mesh canvas has 18. The higher the mesh number, the smaller the holes because more holes fit into the same inch.
In this video, I show the difference between the three most common mesh sizes so you can feel more confident choosing your next needlepoint canvas.
What other needlepoint terms would you like me to explain? Leave them in the commentsâI may answer them in a future video!
Thinking about trying needlepoint but not sure where to start?
These new Blue Waters Needlepoint Kits include everything you need to begin stitching right out of the boxâcanvas, threads, needle, instructions, scissors, and more.
The 10 mesh canvas has larger holes, making it easier to see and stitch. Theyâre a wonderful option for beginners, younger stitchers, or anyone who prefers a canvas thatâs a little easier on the eyes.
Whether youâre looking for a relaxing new hobby, a thoughtful gift, or an easy travel project, these kits make getting started simple. ShopStitchSloth.com
Please ignore my face taking up your entire screenâI kept this because the information was too good not to share!
After trying about a dozen different needlepoint lights, this is still my favorite travel and portable light. Itâs bright, lightweight, rechargeable, and folds down small enough to toss in your project bag.

Now tell me... am I the only one whoâs accidentally filmed an entire video with the wrong camera setup? đ
Iâm a little obsessed with this pink Tilli Tomas vanity case. đ

Jewelry, medications, stitch accessories, chargers, cosmetics, AirPods, travel essentials... the possibilities are endless.
If you stitched your own insert, what would you put in it?

Needlepoint skein storage question!
Iâm currently storing my needlepoint skeins in a photo box, but Iâm exploring ideas for a better needlepoint thread storage solution. As I work on designing new acrylic storage boxes for needlepoint fibers and skeins, Iâd love to see how other stitchers organize their stash.
Do you keep your skeins in drawers, baskets, bins, project bags, thread organizers, or acrylic boxes? What works best for your needlepoint threads?
Share your needlepoint storage ideas in the comments. Your feedback may help shape a future Stitch Sloth storage solution for skeins and fibers.
