🥤🐾 First Pup Cups for Two Very Deserving Dogs! 🐾🥤

Check out Harlow and Gordon, two of Worthy Dog Rescue's newest arrivals, celebrating the start of their new lives with their very first pup cups!

Gordon's owner moved away and left him behind. He was being posted for surrender on social media when one of our amazing foster moms, Jenn, stepped in and helped get him to safety.

Harlow was found as a stray, very pregnant, and made it into rescue just in time. She safely delivered and nursed her puppies, who have all gone on to find their forever homes. Now it's Harlow's turn to find the loving family she deserves.

It’s heartwarming to see these two enjoying such a simple treat to celebrate the fresh start every rescue dog deserves.

🎉 ADOPTION SUCCESS! 🎉

Stewart was found as a stray in rural South Carolina, and sadly, no one came looking for him. We welcomed him into foster care and quickly discovered what a charming, adaptable little guy he was. Great with dogs and cats, Stewart has a way of winning over everyone he meets with his sweet personality, and he's absolutely adorable.

Erika and Hannah had previously applied for another Worthy Dog, but the timing didn't work out. They were open to other dogs, and when we shared Stewart's story, they couldn't wait to meet him. They welcomed him into their home through our foster-to-adopt program, giving everyone the opportunity to ensure he was the right fit for their family, their resident dog, Millie, and city life.

It didn't take long to realize Stewart, now Rigby, had found exactly where he belonged. He's embracing city life, and if you're in the Petworth neighborhood, keep an eye out for this happy little guy proudly prancing down the sidewalk!

"Stewart (now Rigby) has brought so much love and fun to our home already. He's been in our lives for less than three weeks, and we already can't imagine life without him. When he's not snuggled with us on the couch or lounging with our other dog, Millie, he sticks by our side, always playful and curious. His new favorite game is running laps around our kitchen island! He's adjusted so quickly to our home and loves car rides, walks, and meeting everyone in the neighborhood. He's just as sweet as he is adorable. We're so happy Worthy Dog brought this spunky little guy into our lives!"

Meet Madison! ❤️🐾

Madison's story is one of resilience.

This adorable little Chihuahua mix came from a hoarding situation where, at one point, 51 dogs were living in a small trailer. Thankfully, concerned family members stepped in to help, and many dogs have gradually been rescued and placed into loving homes.

Like all of the dogs rescued from this hoarding situation, Madison was undersocialized and had very little experience with the outside world. When she arrived in Northern Virginia, she was understandably frightened and unsure of her new surroundings. She needed time to decompress, build trust, and realize she was finally safe.

Today, she is flourishing and has blossomed into a happy, affectionate companion who loves playing fetch, digging through her toy box, chasing squirrels in the backyard, going for neighborhood walks, and showing off her joyful zoomies. She has a wonderful balance of playful energy and quiet cuddle time, and once she trusts you, she'll happily curl up beside you with the sweetest smile.

She's housetrained, crate-trained, and has made great progress with her leash skills. Madison is great with other dogs and would love a playful canine companion.

Because she's still building confidence, she would do best in a calm home with a patient adopter, a securely fenced yard where she can safely explore, and ideally another confident dog to help show her that the world is a wonderful place.

The best things in life are worth waiting for, and Madison is proof of that. If you're willing to give her a little time to settle in, she'll reward you with endless love and companionship, and she’s such a pretty pup, too.

Meet Grits! 🐾

This handsome snow-white pittie mix is 8–9 months old and as sweet as they come! Found wandering near a grocery store in Rock Hill, SC, Grits was lucky enough to be rescued by one of our volunteers. Since then, he's been thriving in foster care and winning over everyone he meets.

Grits is a happy, social pup with a wonderful balance of playful puppy energy and an easygoing personality. He's currently fostered with two other dogs, has done great in large dog playgroups, and has enjoyed outings to pet-friendly stores, nature preserves, and neighborhood walks. Curious, confident, and friendly, he's always excited to explore new places and meet new people.

He's already crate-trained, has done well with potty training, sleeps quietly through the night, and is learning his basic commands. Grits loves tennis balls, daily walks, and is eager to learn, especially when treats are involved! He's also gentle with children and enjoys making new friends wherever he goes.
