Me Less

As a kid I remember people would ask me
What I wanted to do when I grew up. My first though was always "I want to fly" like literally levitate my body off the ground, no intrest in being a pilot or anything I just wanted to fly and feel free.

I was smart and aware enough to realize how foolish that would sound even as a 4 year old, so I probably said something like "I want to play in the NFL" even though, ironically that still probably seemed unrealistic for me to have that goal now that I think about, I was a tiny kid 🤣

Anyways, the morale of the story is that
I still hold on to that dream. Yup, to this day I STILL want to fly (physically levitate) it's true, I really have that goal in my heart and I vow to keep the child in me alive to connect and learn from him, and sometimes that may make me seem foolish (in the eyes of man/woman) but what this really means is that as a child, we are always in a vulnerable state. Yet we have a complete trust and dependence on our parents so much so that the chaotic world around us
Seems to go unnoticed.

Keeping the child alive in us is about keeping that same trust and dependence in God like we had in our parents. Even through the daily madness we are exposed to and now aware of as adults.

Its about being trusting, honest and without malice in our hearts and to treat each other in such a way that reflects those qualities.

It is about wearing your hearts on our sleeves and seeing the best in people. It's about the joy. This is why the Bilbe tells us to be like children to receive the kingdom of God because perceives us by what's in our hearts not by what's on the outside.... peace

We live in a world where we have the ability to shape realities based on what is in our minds. Even though we face things beyond our control, we can control how we respond to those events which has a significant effect on the outcomes of how those events unfold for us...

Being your dad is my favorite thing to do. The world is yours Nico, Dad is already proud of all you've done in about 3 weeks of life in this physical realm.

Everyday I remind myself that my son is a child of god before he is mine. I pray for him to be filled with the spirit so that his cup can run over and he can pour it all back to the world to make a better place than it was before he arrived.
