Some storm prep for the rain
News: A strong winter storm is forecasted to bring rain to the area starting this afternoon with rain continuing overnight and into tomorrow.
With the forecast calling for one to one and a half inches of rain, now is the time for clean-up and storm prep.
It's never too late to make sure all trash and yard waste is properly contained in City-issued bins and that any automotive leaks or spills are cleaned up. Clear your drains and rain gutters before the weather gets worse and help your neighborhood by cleaning up trash and debris on your street.
💧 Sand bags are available for Visalia residents at the Public Works Administration Office (located at 336 N. Ben Maddox Way) between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
💧The self-serve sand station on Cain Street, between Goshen and Main, is now open for Visalia residents. The self-serve sand station will stay open 24-hours a day during rain events
💧 Limit of eight sandbags per resident, don't forget to bring your own shovel
