Thanks to all the great people in Waco who supported my campaign. We fell short this time, but turnout in the district increased. Engaging more voters is always a win. This race had a huge turnout!!

Congratulations to Stephanie Korteweg on her win. I look forward to working with her in the coming months to see that the voices of my voters are represented.

Jessica has worked passionately and tirelessly on behalf of countless students throughout her 20 years in the higher education realm. After working with her for 13 years, I’ve seen clearly that she is a natural leader of change, with a proven track record at Baylor. Jessica’s vision isn’t limited to what’s in front of her at the moment, but with an eye toward what’s possible. In her position as a strategist and innovator for Baylor University, she has successfully created programs, led initiatives, and propelled others forward in their work. Her experience will directly translate to what she will accomplish, in partnership with others, on the Waco ISD school board.

She is ready to listen to the needs of ALL students, parents, and constituents, and will make the time for anyone who cares about our children’s future. Waco ISD needs someone, driven by passion and change, with a new perspective to bring to the table. Preparing Waco students for the future is a goal that directly aligns with Jessica’s experience. Give her at least three years and she will be a proven leader on this board. For those families hoping to see Waco ISD continue to propel forward, and to do so more rapidly, Jessica is the only option for this seat!
