We’ve journeyed from sleepless nights & feeding you every few hours, to now waking up to your bright, smiling face after a full night’s rest. We’ve gone from being blurry shapes in your world to now seeing the recognition in your eyes from across the room. Your little smirks have blossomed into laughter that fills our hearts daily. August, our love for you is endless, & we’ll treasure every moment of your journey as you grow.

Growing up, I must admit I always hated Father’s Day. It was hard watching everyone else celebrate their dads when I never had someone to call “dad.” I promised myself that one day, I would have kids and be the dad I wished I had.

I’m more determined than ever to keep that promise. I’ll never stop striving to be the best dad I can be.

I love you so much, August. I can’t wait to see you grow up and make countless memories together.
