Claire is a beautiful estimated four-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog with the sweetest soul. After spending her entire life as a high-volume commercial breeding dog, she’s finally getting the chance to experience what it means to be loved.

Claire is fully vetted, spayed, and in great health. She has been thriving in an incredible foster home alongside children and her Golden Retriever foster brother, and she continues to make wonderful progress every day. While she can be shy and fearful of new things at first, once she feels safe, her gentle and loving personality begins to shine.

Claire would do best in a home with another friendly, confident dog to help show her the ropes and continue building her confidence. She has come so far and is ready to find a patient family who will give her the love she’s always deserved.

Athena is a beautiful 15-16-week-old German Shorthaired Pointer mix puppy with all the fun, goofy, energetic traits people love about the breed! This young girl is full of personality, curiosity, and love, and she’s already proving to be an incredibly smart puppy.

Athena is doing exceptionally well with both crate training and house training. She loves meeting new people, enjoys playing with other dogs, and is always ready for her next adventure. She is healthy, happy, and soaking up everything around her as she learns what life as a loved family companion is all about.

Meet Our Five Bernese Mountain Dog Girls🩷🐾

Please help us welcome Claire, Carly, Coral, Crystal, and Cami to The Goofy Newfy Pack!

These beautiful girls range from four to six years old and have spent their entire lives as puppy mill breeding dogs. They have endured more than any dog ever should, but that chapter of their lives is finally over. They are now safe, loved, and getting the chance to experience what it truly means to be a dog.

While each girl has her own personality, they all share one thing in common—they are incredibly sweet. Because they have never known a normal life, many everyday things are still new and a little scary to them. With patience, kindness, and love, they continue to blossom a little more each day.

Claire is currently thriving in her foster home, and the rest of the girls are settling into rescue beautifully. They all do well with other dogs and will benefit from families that understand these girls need time to build confidence and trust.

Meet Sarge! 🖤

At seven years old, Sarge is proof that good things come in small packages! This fun-sized Newfoundland may be a little smaller than your typical Newfy, but he has every bit of the gentle, loving personality the breed is known for.

Sarge spent his entire life living outdoors in a kennel under very difficult conditions before being rescued by Bracken County Animal Shelter. We cannot thank them enough for saving this sweet boy! Due to the severe condition of his coat, Sarge had to be shaved, but we know his beautiful Newfy fluff will be back before long.

Sarge is calm, incredibly sweet, and loves everyone he meets. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has quickly shown us what an amazing companion he is. He asks for very little—just a family to love him and a soft place to call home.

Meet Tucker🤎🐾

Three-year-old Tucker is everything people love about a Bernese Mountain Dog—gentle, goofy, loving, and happiest when he’s surrounded by people. Despite not receiving the care every dog deserves before coming to rescue, Tucker has never let his past define him.

When Tucker arrived, he was severely underweight, infested with fleas, and has both eye and ear infections. Since then, he has been thriving in an amazing foster home where he’s receiving the love, nutrition, and medical care he needs. He’s already been seen by our veterinarian multiple times for exams, testing, and vaccinations. Thankfully, all of his testing has come back normal, and now our main focus is helping him safely gain the 25 pounds he needs before he can be neutered.

Tucker’s recovery will be an ongoing journey. He requires a special diet, routine veterinary care, and a series of follow-up blood work to ensure he continues moving in the right direction. While we rarely ask, Tucker is one of those special cases where any donation toward his medical care would mean the world and help us continue giving him everything he needs to thrive.

Tucker is not accepting applications at this time, as he already has a wonderful forever family waiting through our waitlist. For now, we’re simply cheering him on as he continues his journey toward a healthy, happy future. ❤️
