Transfigured Church Affectionately called at times the "dojo church", Transfigured Church utilizes a "Micro Church" concept.

Sometimes being weak is saying, "I don't need help."

Our culture celebrates independence. We admire people who "handle everything" without asking for support.

But Scripture paints a different picture.

King David was a warrior, a king, and a giant slayer. Yet in Psalm 142, hiding in a cave, he prayed:

" deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I."

David discovered something many of us resist:

Strength isn't pretending you have no limits.
Strength is knowing where your strength comes from.

God never intended for us to carry every burden alone.

Galatians 6 teaches two truths that must stay together:

Carry your own load (your daily responsibilities).
Help carry one another's burdens (the sudden, catastrophic, emergency weights no one should bear alone).

The Church was never designed to produce isolated superheroes.

It was designed to build a community where responsible people help one another survive life's heaviest moments.

You don't have to carry what God never assigned you to carry.

Sometimes the strongest prayer you can pray is:

"Lord... I need help."

Sometimes the strongest move you can make, is being weak enough to join a church community.

Trying to be all-powerful is a burden no human can carry.

Sometimes we act like everything depends on us.

We try to fix every situation.
Rescue every person.
Control every outcome.

But that's not faith.

That's a burden God never asked us to carry.

This morning we'll continue our series:

YE SHALL SURELY DIE
The Burden of Omnipotence

The early Church understood something we often forget:

We are called to help carry one another's crushing burdens, but we're also responsible for carrying our own daily load. When those two get confused, communities become strained and people burn out.

Maybe today isn't about becoming stronger.

Maybe it's about trusting the One who already is.

You don't have to answer every call.

You don't have to solve every problem.

You don't have to carry everyone else's burdens.

You don't have to be everywhere at once.

Some of us are exhausted because we're trying to live with abilities that belong only to God.

This Sunday we continue our series:

YE SHALL SURELY DIE
Week 2: The Burden of Omnipresence

Psalm 139 reminds us that God is already where you're worried.

He's already at tomorrow's meeting.
Already with your children.
Already in the doctor's office.
Already in the places keeping you awake at night.

The pressure begins to lift when you remember this:

God got there before you did.

Join us this Sunday as we discover why accepting our limits isn't weaknessβ€”it's wisdom.
