Just a quick post to say I plan to vend at Eastern Market Eastern Market this Saturday — I hope you’ll stop by to say hello if you’re in the neighborhood!

SLOT ALERT!
I’ve decided to open up two slots for ink house portrait artwork to be completed over the coming months. The slots will go live at 10am ET THIS FRIDAY 6/12/26, so now is a good time to:

1) familiarize yourself with the product description to make sure this offering suits your vision and decide what size you’d like.
2) set yourself a reminder to head to my shop at the go-live time, as I expect the slots will go fast! I get frequent requests for house portraits but have not had capacity to take on additional ones over the past couple months.
I’ll be posting 1 slot at the 8x10 size and 1 at the 5x7 size. If the size you want appears to have sold out by the time you get to it (while the wrong size is still available), DM me, and as long as one slot still remains, I can change the remaining slot to your size preference.
NOTE: the slot listings that will go live in my shop are for the initial 50% deposit on the full price of the completed artwork (the balance will be due once I complete the art). Once you snag the slot, I’ll email you some guidance for taking good photos of your home (or whatever home I’ll be depicting).

Looking through my bin of old(er) art, I came across this little favorite of mine from 3 years ago. I don’t remember what possessed me, but unlike most times when I do watercolor, for this one I used *only watercolor* rather than starting with a pen line drawing. I remember being really pleased with how it turned out, especially since I didn’t draw a base pencil sketch first.
A detail I really loved about the moment (which I observed at Eastern Market) was that the father had the daughter’s monkey stuffie hanging out of his pocket 🐒
