"What she even did to deserve all this” “I am doing way better but why the chosen one is that person and not me”

🌟I can bet that at least at some point of time in our life we felt like this; and you know what,
its completely okay to think like that,
BUT
What is not okay is being in that state of mind for more than a micro-second and comparing our journey to others on a regular basis.

The moment I have these kind of FOMO thoughts or you can say “jealousy thought, I always think of this quote and the next thing I do is either write “preferably” or at least think in my mind of all the things that I have, I am really grateful for, it can be anything like:

❣️Having so awesome college friends.
❣️My reels getting 1k views
❣️Meeting a new friend online
❣️Watching a really great series,
❣️Or even waking up to see my mum and paa drinking tea in the living room while my sister still sleeping beside me.

At every point of time we come across these negative thoughts because that’s how we were brought up; “Mr. X’ s son got these good marks, why can’t you?” “I won these many prizes in the school sports day, why can’t you?” This “why can’t you” ended up being in our subconscious mind since forever and that’s why the very first thing, even for a micro-second we think when we see a very successful person in our niche is because of FOMO, especially among women because of misogyny.

I got the thought of creating this post, because few days back some of my college friends said that I inspire them a lot because of my passion for self-independency, financial independence, "boss girl attitude" and at that very point, I was going through FOMO, FOMO of not binge watching Netflix, FOMO of missing out my college life because of Pandemic and what not, and when they said these things to me, I realised that, "you know what Vishakha, you are doing really great."
Infact, I thought “Damn, I am Killing It”

Now, I urge all of you, yes all of you to write in the comment below RIGHT NOW.

“Damn, I am killing it”.

Because all of you are seriously killing it 🤩
