Even with music booming and wedding party bustling about, there is a quietness to the morning on wedding day. I love the anticipation and nervousness that floats through the venue before the couple has seen each other.

Alex had always imagined herself getting married under a big tree so when she and Dustin found Taft, they knew it was the perfect place for their wedding.

When I chat with my couples before their wedding, I make sure to ask if their are any specific reason why they chose their venue so that I can highlight those parts in their gallery. To be honest, it took me so long to come out in my professional space because I was riddled with fear. But today I’m sitting next to a creek in the woods, listening to the water flowing past me, and I’m deciding to let my fears flow with it.

We went back to the place where Colin proposed to Alex to capture their engagement photos. When I tell you that everything was perfect – the light, the soft pink flowers that were in bloom, the quiet atmosphere. I cannot wait to capture this sweet couple’s wedding in June!!!
