I posted about Google's beta test of Carousel schema the other day and got a lot of questions about it. So I decided to write this blog post with around 25+ ways it may be able to be used. And if it leaves beta and gets developed, it could become a game changer for:
- Local retail businesses
- Service providers (real estate agents, electricians, med spas, photographers)
- Travel industry (vacation rentals, hotel room types)
- Affiliates (things to do, places to eat, localized listcicle content)
- Events (concerts, things to do, theatrical productions)
- Bloggers (kids eat free on Tuesdays, best farms for apple picking, places to eat in Spain)
- Retailers with brick and mortar (shoes in size 10, plus size bathing suits, water heaters)
The opportunity is open to everyone from travel agents to brick and mortar retailers to content creators. Here's how I think it may populate now, and if how it may develop if Google keeps it going.
Ideas to Use Google's Carousel Schema Library From bloggers to retailers, real estate agents, service providers, and affiliates, Google's carousel schema is your opportunity to win!

This post walks you through the purpose of each and shares multiple situations when they can both play a role, and when to use one over the other. It includes:
- Site migrations
- Landing pages
- Combining content
- URL and structure changes
- Rebrands and acquisitions
The Purpose of 301 Redirects & Canonical Links for SEO Canonical links and 301 redirects serve different purposes with SEO and must be implemented in the right order. Here's why.
