A Long Journey to Launch
The path to church planting began long ago. However, this year of preparation has been an especially wild one! In August 2019 we went to the Stadia Church Planting Assessment Center, along with our Bishop, and became approved to work with Stadia. Then we came home and gave notice to our church that this was officially a reality and we would close out our time at Capital Christian Fellowship at the end of 2019.
We began 2020 dedicated full time to planning, preparing and launching Revive! We envisioned having large gatherings in a local school. COVID had another plan. We continued to pray, lean into teachers and innovators and ask hard questions about what church might look like going forward. We are still launching, by the grace of God! It will look different than we had thought but we will follow Jesus day by day and step by step. We do everything to love and serve Him and those around us.
Our highest priority is people. We want Revive to be known as good news - a church that loves and cares for the community and meets individuals and families where they are. We know that this will be a difficult school year for many. We want to support families any way we can. We want to offer tutors, wifi, food, clothing, school supplies, etc. The Revive Mobile Resource Center will allow us to take these things directly into the communities that need it. Your generosity will allow kids and families to thrive this school year!
