MY MIL THREATENED TO EXCLUDE MY DAUGHTERS FROM OUR FAMILY TRIP.

I'm a mom of two girls, Emily (7) and Ava (5). After their dad passed away from cancer, it was tough, but I've done everything to keep us going. Then I met Jack two years ago, and he's been a real blessing for us. We recently got married, but his mom, my MIL, never accepted me or my girls. She's always been cold and made it clear she doesn't consider my daughters part of the family.

So, when my MIL announced a big family trip and asked for my girls' details to book tickets, I thought maybe, just maybe, she was starting to accept them. Silly me.

The day of the trip arrives, and at the airport, everything seems fine. But as we're heading to the check-in counter, MIL leans in and hisses, "Give me $600 right now, or I'll tell the airline I lost your little rascals' tickets. This is a family trip, and they ARE NOT."

"Good afternoon," the older lady said with a sweet smile. "I'm sorry, my wallet seems to have fallen to the bottom of my bag..." The woman kept rummaging, then she started to take out things.

First, it was a hairbrush, then a tiny folding umbrella, a makeup bag, a snack bar..."Lady," George snapped. "PAY FOR THE FARE!"

"I'm sorry," the lady stammered. "I went into the city to get my granddaughter an engagement gift and I must have dropped it...Oh, no! My phone is gone too!" The woman was pale and her eyes glittered with embarrassed tears.

"Sob stories I hear plenty," George said in a nasty tone. "You pay and you stay -- or you get off the bus and walk home!"

"I swear to you," the older woman cried. "I swear this is God's truth! My wallet is gone, and I have no way to get home!"

George sneered. "Well that there is a pity because you're not riding on my bus!"

"Please, son," the older woman said with quiet dignity. "I've had surgery recently on my knee, I can't drive which is why I took the bus, and I won't be able to walk such a distance to get home."

"You should have thought of that before you pulled off this scam!" Geoge screamed. "GET OFF!"

The woman pushed her belongings back into her bag and stepped off the bus. George's last glimpse of her was through his review mirror. She looked lost and small and for a second he felt a twinge of pity for her.

Then his eye fell on the clock on his dashboard. He was already late! He drove away from the woman and the bus stop, sure that he would never see her again.👇

I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHY THIS GREAT HOUSE I BOUGHT WAS SO CHEAP UNTIL I OPENED THE BASEMENT.

When I was house hunting with a realtor, I found this perfect place. Great neighborhood, amazing condition, and ridiculously low price. Like, TOO low.
