Kevin Dietsch photographed Lindsay and Danny's wedding on the rooftop of the The Hay-Adams which has THE MOST spectacular views of the White House! They were all smiles --except during the ceremony when the groom and their grandmother shed some tears of joy! Kevin and Denny, who was second shooting, captured their amazing Hora amidst a packed reception dance floor!

No shortage of laughter at Michelle and Yiwey's wedding photographed by Kevin Dietsch and Stephen Bobb at Clyburn Arboritum in Baltimore. They describe themselves as a "fun couple that tries not to take themselves too seriously." For Kevin, the wedding was also like photographing a high school reunion. He's known Michelle, her family, and several of their guests since high school.
Their ceremony included Burmese traditions and they cut up the reception dance floor with two different choreographed dances. Only one is posted here. Stay tuned. There is more to come!

Maya and Jimmy's "Chindian" wedding at the National Museum of Women in the Arts was all about celebrating their family, friends, and their Chinese and Indian heritages. To my astonishment, in addition to a favor, each guest received a hand-written note from the couple. I can't begin to imagine how long it took to write all of those notes! They also surprised their guests with a choreographed first dance.
Lastly, I loved Maya and Jimmy's endless laughter and huge smiles that were present from the beginning to the end of the day. For a photographer, aside from great light, there's nothing better than capturing a big smile!

So much love, laughter, and tender moments at Beth and Steve's wedding at the Park Hyatt Washington D.C.. They were calm, cool, and relaxed until it came to dancing! They tore up the floor and nailed every move during their first dance and had one of the longest and liveliest Hora's I've seen in years!

Truly enjoyed photographing Leila and Nabil's elegant wedding planned by SoCo Events at the Four Seasons Hotel Washington DC.
Leila was worried that Nabil would need a tissue when he first saw her. Turns out he was prepared for her tears instead. We were fortunate to have their first look outside, because shortly thereafter it began to rain. Was this the rainiest May on record?!
Their reception was lively with drummers and opera singers and of course plenty of dancing. This is a small preview of their celebration. I look forward to sharing more.

Joanna + Mark
Spring has gotten off to a rather cold start this year! Joanna and Mark braved the cold temperatures blown in by the polar vortex for outdoor portraits at their April 9th wedding. Thankfully most of their wedding was already planned to be held indoors at the TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm.
You are welcome to tag yourself in these photographs.

Posted Dorrie and Deni's refreshing summer wedding on our blog. Loved his blue suit paired with a bright gingham tie and the soft pastel flowers woven into her braided hair.
Dorrie + Deni || Daughters of the American Revolution Washington DC Wedding Dorrie and Deni were married on a stunning day at the Daughters of the American Revolution in Washington DC. They were a fashion-forward couple. She wore her hair in a braid with a small crown of flowers and on her feet were the cutest blue-patterned heals which can be found at Nordstrom. (Of cours…
