🎬 PRB in action: Last week at VivaTech in Paris, PRB President & CEO Jennifer Sciubba joined the panel "Human 2.0? The Fertility Revolution and the Future of Reproduction"—bringing a political demographer's lens to a conversation that too often focuses on technology alone.

"It's not that the technology itself does anything—it's that technology enters into larger social, political, and economic conversations, and right now those are spicy, and they're only going to get more so as we see an acceleration in this trend around low fertility," Sciubba said.

And the trend itself is more complex than the headlines suggest, Sciubba cautioned. "Two out of three people live somewhere with below-replacement fertility worldwide—but that means one out of three lives somewhere with high fertility. And it's not the case that everyone in a country with high birthrates has an easy time having kids. There's infertility even in those contexts—inequality of access, differential trends even within countries and communities."

Fellow panelists included Phineas Rueckert (journalist, moderator), Anu Bashamboo (Institut Pasteur), Micheline Misrahi-Abadou (Paris-Saclay Faculty of Medicine / Bicêtre Hospital), and Kais Zhioua (CEO, Tanit Healthcare Technologies).
