Tomb will be working with the DC Historic Preservation Office and a talented team of archaeologists to find the remains of Mr. Yarrow Mamout in Georgetown. If you have experience excavating or would like to help screen, DC HPO could use your help. They also offer daily fence talks at 10:15am and 1:45pm. Stayed tuned for Tomb's GPR findings!
What lies beneath: Searching for the bones of Yarrow Mamout, a turn-of-the-19th-century... Is the freed slave who was famously painted by Charles Willson Peale buried on the plot of land he owned?
This week, Tomb embarks on a new adventure with cadaver dogs. These talented creatures will be used for an ongoing forensic investigation of which Tomb has been part of for over 4 years. Wish us luck for a successful week!
