There are 2 options to donate, both are great options to get Jason a live donor kidney
1) being a good match and donate a kidney directly to Jason
2) doesn’t match, but donates a kidney to a stranger and Jason gets a “voucher” for a live donor kidney from another stranger

Kidneys that come from live donors tend to last longer for the recipient and surgeries are planned in advance.
