Virtual reality with cognitive training effectively enhances attention and can improve focus in children and adolescents.

Researchers have been exploring how virtual reality (VR) might help boost attention in cognitive training programs. They created a range of tasks using VR technology and tested them out on a group of thirty individuals who had few behavioral or social issues. These participants were split into three groups. One group used VR equipment like a head-mounted display, another group had the same tasks but without VR, and a third group didn't do anything special for comparison. All of them did eight sessions of tasks over a two-week period.

Before and after these sessions, the participants took a continuous performance task (CPT), a test to measure their attention and focus. The results showed that incorporating VR into cognitive training can effectively enhance attention. They also found out that their training can help children and adolescents with behavioral issues improve their attention span and focus better on tasks.
