Late last year 4 of my widowed girlfriends co-founded a wellness gift shop on the Danforth, appropriately named “Lost + Found”. Navigating through the world of young widowhood they found support and community through their shared experiences and wanted to use that to pursue and promote mental heath for others in their community.
Like virtually all small businesses, they were forced to shut their doors last month and move to an online platform. I reached out to them a few weeks ago to see if they would be able to curate a custom Covid Care Kit that I could send to clients and friends, hoping to bring a smile to people during what can sometimes feel like a gloomy time.
Below is a picture of the beautiful boxes they created for me (they even wrote handwritten notes to go with each box!) Everyone who has received one has been so appreciative of the gesture and I’m so grateful for all the thought that went into building the boxes.
