Working on a French Mobier clock today. It had fallen over. Took some time, but it’s up and running again.
I’ve been in the clock business for 51 years and I’ve learned to never say “I’ve seen it all. Today I worked on a 1918 Herschede clock with my wife, Jenny Siebert-Davis, that someone cut off both sides of the pendulum to keep the pendulum from hitting the sides of the case. Not quite the way I would attack that particular problem.
