A few years ago as I became a bit older I developed a hard of hearing condition. My daughter bought me my first set of Eargo hearing aids. Then a few years later she bought me my second new and improved version. Then as I and my Eargo’s got older my son bought me my current version. As is proven by the attached picture this makes three different versions I have owned.
Up until now Eargo has always honored their warranty. If one or more of their of products had a malfunction they pleasantly replaced their product . My second version had lots of problems and they were replaced without a problem.
My current version is a model 7 and is touted as the first OTC model and better than the rest. Recently my left then my right battery’s began running down sooner than they should.
Now, as a result of policy or personnel changes or both the friendly service changed to one that gives nothing but lip service instructing me to clean the ear piece, as I always do, and discharge then recharge both the case and ear pieces. Since this is in my regular care I knew it wasn’t going to help. But I followed instructions to no avail.
In any case they are no longer willing to honor their warranty and replace the Eargo hearing aids during their 2 year warranty offering only lip service . While several of my friends have bought Eargo’s based on my recommendation I no longer recommend the Eargo hearing aids. Don’t spend your money on anything that the manufacturer doesn’t back up! And Eargo doesn’t stand behind their hearing aids any longer! Eargo Isn’t What it used to be!
Anyone else with similar problems?
