What an incredible day Last Week at the Grow Together Farm Field Day! From hands-on planting activities to learning about agriculture and connecting with local leaders, it was inspiring to see so many young minds and come together to explore the importance of farming and healthy food systems.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and helped make this event a success. Seeing smiles, curiosity, and community in action reminds us why investing in the next generation matters.

Grow Together Farm Field Day Invites Families, Students, and Community Members to Explore
Agriculture Through Hands-On Learning
Tarboro, NC – The KKAC Organization and the Southeastern Improvement Association (SEIA) invite
community members of all ages to attend the Grow Together Farm Field Day on Friday, June 19, beginning
at 11:00 a.m. at the Coneto Family Farm & Life Center, 151 Vines Lane, Tarboro, NC 27886.
This free community event is designed to connect students, families, educators, farmers, and residents with
the world of agriculture through interactive experiences, educational activities, and opportunities to learn about
healthy food systems and agricultural resources available to farmers.

The deadline to apply for USDA Farm Service Agency's General Conservation Reserve Program is rapidly approaching. Applications must be submitted by April 17! CRP is a voluntary program that encourages agricultural producers and landowners to convert highly erodible and other environmentally sensitive acreage to vegetative cover, such as native grasses, trees, and riparian buffers. In return, participants receive annual rental payments.
