As the days pass, more of our cats continue to return, and that brings us hope during an incredibly difficult time. While there is still a long road ahead, every cat that finds its way back gives us renewed hope and reminds us why we continue this fight.

We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, support, donations, and encouragement we have received from our community. Every message, share, donation, and offer to help has meant more than words can express.

We know many people want to come out and assist with locating the missing cats. While we are deeply grateful for that willingness to help, it is in the best interest of the cats that we continue having the same dedicated individuals return to the property each day. Maintaining a sense of familiarity and routine is crucial for cats that have already endured significant stress and trauma.

Several of the cats currently in our care are receiving treatment for smoke inhalation and burns sustained during this tragedy. We ask for your patience and understanding as we focus on providing them with the medical attention, comfort, and care they need to recover.

At this time, all cats that have been located are being cared for by our immediate foster families within the rescue itself—individuals who have been a dedicated part of Purrfect Hearts for many years. These same people stepped up without hesitation and continue to provide around-the-clock care while the cats receive ongoing medical treatment.

As we continue this journey of recovery and rebuilding, our needs will evolve. We will maintain and update a list of current needs weekly on our page so that those who wish to help can continue supporting our efforts.

If you would like to make a donation to Purrfect Hearts Cat Rescue, your support is truly invaluable. In addition, a GoFundMe has been established specifically to help Alice as she works toward rebuilding her life and finding some sense of normalcy after this devastating loss.

The days ahead will not be easy, but the kindness and compassion shown by this community have already made an extraordinary difference.

Every donation. Every share. Every encouraging word. Every act of kindness.

It all matters, and we are endlessly grateful.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us, with Alice, and with every cat whose life has been forever changed by this tragedy. Your support is helping carry us through our darkest days, and we will never be able to adequately express our gratitude.

🐶Meet Balto, a handsome 2-year-old German Shepherd with a heart as big as his 90-pound frame. Balto is incredibly friendly, loves attention, and enjoys being around people.

🐾After suffering an ACL injury, Balto's back leg had to be amputated. Despite this challenge, he has adjusted wonderfully to life as a tripod and doesn't let it slow him down. He's still a happy, loving dog who enjoys life and being with his humans.

🐕Balto is currently intact and is still recovering from his amputation surgery. He is kennel trained, does well with other dogs, and is good with children. Because he can be a little jumpy when excited, he would do best with older kids. He is not a fan of cats.

❗️An experienced foster or adopter is needed. A German Shepherd rescue is willing to take Balto into their program, but there are currently no available foster homes.
📌Please share to help this special boy find the loving home he deserves. ❤️
