Belleville FFA

Happy fair week! This morning we were in the Kiddie Farm at the Dane County Fair! Cleaned pens, fed & watered the animals, and then enjoyed the kids that came through the exhibit! Despite the heat and smoke, we had fun this morning! We also enjoyed a visiting with Garrett, who is showing beef cattle again! If you haven’t made it out yet this week, the Dane & Green County fairs are going through Sunday! Come out and support the hardworking youth with their ag projects!

This is a fundraiser for a Belleville FFA alum, Josh, and his mom, Janet, who you may recognize for her photography skills for local seniors, sports, and families. Their Belleville home was severely damaged by the tornado this week. They are displaced from their home and would be so grateful for love and support to help them move forward. On Wednesday members went back to the State FFA Convention!
👨‍💼👩‍💼Members explored the expo filled with ag businesses to learn about careers!
🗳️Belle & Josh served as delegates for our chapter. They gave input & voted on current FFA related issues and put in their vote for our next Sectional state Officer.
🏅Belle was able to officially be awarded as the 8th place Gold State Vegetable Production Proficiency!
🌟Nora, Tyler, & Sienna crossed the stage to receive their State FFA Degrees. This is the highest degree they can earn within our State Association and showcases hard work in agriculture, community service, and involvement within our chapter.
🐄 We heard from keynote speaker Temple Grandin. She is a leader in animal science, livestock handling, & welfare as well as autism advocate. So special to listen to her live in person. Some even got to meet her!

**Side note: was originally making this post Wednesday night when the tornado hit and makes me so happy to finally post and give them their well-deserved recognition! Soooo proud of them all! ~Mrs. K
