Don't waste time while doing time
On March 19, 2026, students of Form 4C and 5C from St. Joseph's Convent Marriaqua was given an informative tour of His Majesty's Prisons, led by Senior Prison Officer Glaston Pilgrim.
We were pleased to host them and provide insights into how the prison operates. The experience highlighted that life within the prison system is very different from what one may perceive on the outside.
Let us continue to encourage our young people to stay out of trouble and to walk along the right path, as they are the future generation.

The Prison Service proudly joins the nation in honoring the courage and vision of our national hero, the Right Excellent Joseph Chatoyer, who helped shape the opportunities we enjoy today. His legacy reminds us of the importance of duty, discipline, and service to our country. As the Superintendent of Prisons, I encourage all staffs and inmates to reflect on these values and strive to contribute in a positive way to our communities and our nation.
Let this celebration inspire unity, respect, and a renewed commitment to building a safer and stronger Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for future generations.
