Merry Christmas!

This periphrase is generally applied to Thailand, but it is just as happily applied to Vietnam. Symbol of joy and sympathy for the West, the smile is for the East in general and perhaps more specifically for Vietnam, a thank you or an apology.
From the mischievous childish games to the toothless smiles of the elders, the smile is on everyone's lips, in all eyes. Through its smile, Vietnam opens us to the heart, reveals its unfailing joie de vivre, it expresses its depth and authenticity. Frankly, doesn't it make us want to smile?
