🍯 Proverbs 27:7 tells us, “A satisfied soul loathes the honeycomb, but to a hungry soul every bitter thing tastes sweet.”

When our souls are full of good things (God’s word), we are satisfied with what is important and we find it easy to reject bad things.

For a starving soul, they will try to find satisfaction in the things that could never fill their soul like buying the latest designer brands, eating too much food, consuming drugs, or looking at p@rn. For a starving soul, even things that are bad for us taste good. In the moment.

🍯 There is no earthly pleasure more sweet than a relationship with Jesus. Psalm 119:103 says, “How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey in my mouth.”
