Ellie, I blinked and you are a 20. I still find myself looking at you like the little girl teaching herself how to ride a bike in the back yard. You must have fallen a hundred times before you got it but you never gave up. Not much has changed when it comes to your grit. You were also always such a sweet kid so it’s not a surprise that you have grown into such a caring and compassionate young woman that dedicates so much of herself to helping others. I am always inspired by you and the nursing world is going to be so lucky to have you. The past couple of years you have been dealt a hand that is horribly unfair but somehow you continue to move forward with a smile on your face. You WILL win this battle.
