Spotting AI & Phishing Scams (Urgent/Trending)
🚨 Scam Alert: "Urgent" messages aren't always what they seem.
With AI getting smarter every day, hackers aren't just sending poorly spelled emails anymore. They are using voice clones, deepfakes, and highly sophisticated phishing links to trick you.
If you get a panicked message, DM, or email from a "friend," "boss," or "family member" asking for urgent financial help, gift cards, or sensitive info, remember the golden rule: Pause and Verify.
❌ Don't click the link in the message.
❌ Don't reply directly to the suspicious thread.

Cyber Security Alert: Targeted Attack Emails (Spear Phishing) 🚨
Not all cyber attacks are random — some are targeted specifically at YOU.
🎯 What is a Targeted Attack Email?
A targeted attack (also called spear phishing) is a carefully crafted email designed to trick a specific person or organization into revealing sensitive information or installing malware.
⚠️ Common Signs to Watch For:
• Email looks like it’s from your boss, company, or trusted service
• Urgent message (e.g. “Send this now”, “Account will be locked”)
• Suspicious links or attachments
• Slightly misspelled email addresses or domains
• Requests for passwords, OTPs, or confidential data
💡 Real Example:
“Hi, I need you to urgently review this document before meeting — download here.”
👉 (Malicious link disguised as a file)
🛡️ How to Protect Yourself:
✔ Always verify sender email address carefully
✔ Don’t click links without checking them first
✔ Avoid downloading unknown attachments
✔ Enable 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication)
✔ When in doubt — confirm via phone or direct message
📢 Remember:
Hackers don’t break systems — they trick people.
Stay alert. Stay safe. 🔐
