Thinking of my dad today on his birthday. He was indifferent about his birthday and my phone call was often his reminder that it was in fact his birthday. I always celebrated him regardless of his indifference. He would be so excited to see the incredible progress we’ve made with the osprey poles. I can’t think of a better birthday gift for him (other than the Star Trek communicator I made for him out of cardboard when I was 8 😆)
We miss him so much!
Our junior environmentalist field research team spent their Sunday exploring the woods, the lake, and the canal. They discovered wild bitter melon, caught a glimpse of a bald eagle, saw an alligator, and explored the fish pods right off our own dock.
We will need to work on their wildlife photography technique, the ibis didn’t appreciate them so much 😆
