The last few years, the Isle of Skye has been facing many problems with tourism and overcrowding. Social media and photographers from around the world (myself included) have undoubtedly added to the impact.
I feel responsible for this, so I took a decision to only visit this place when I have specific commissions.
Remember If you’re planing a trip to Scotland there are plenty of hidden places all around the country. The Isle of Skye is unique in many ways but it’s not alone in this beautiful country...
If you choose to visit this island (and totally understandable if you do), please bear in mind your footprint, follow the marked paths on your walks and hikes, and take your litter back with you... @ Scotland

Finnish people seem to live in a constant state of harmony with nature, their continuous slow rhythm is evident throughout the region of Saimaa. Wooden cottages, pine forests and still water lakes beautifully co-exist here.
