MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR โ The Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project - Regional Project Coordination Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (RPCO BARMM), together with the Project Support Office (PSO) and the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU), conducted a Joint Technical Review and Subproject Appraisal Review for several proposed infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening rural development and improving agricultural productivity in the province.
The activity covered the proposed construction of a Multi-Purpose Building with Solar Dryer in Barangay Maitumaig, Datu Unsay; a warehouse project in Barangay Limpongo, Datu Hoffer Ampatuan; and a site visit for the proposed Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) in Barangay Panangget, Datu Unsay.
The Joint Technical Review serves as a critical mechanism to ensure that the proposed infrastructure sub-projects are properly planned, technically sound, financially feasible, and responsive to the needs of the target communities. The review process also strengthens transparency, accountability, and quality assurance in project preparation and implementation.
The Subproject Appraisal Review focused on evaluating whether the proposed infrastructure projects are technically feasible, economically viable, environmentally sound, and compliant with government standards and program guidelines. The activity involved technical personnel, engineers, planners, financial analysts, and concerned stakeholders who collaboratively reviewed project designs, implementation plans, and supporting documents.
The proposed Multi-Purpose Building with Solar Dryer is expected to support post-harvest activities and improve agricultural processing and storage for local farmers, while the warehouse facility aims to strengthen storage and logistics capacity in the area. Meanwhile, the proposed Farm-to-Market Road in Barangay Panangget is envisioned to improve accessibility and transportation of agricultural products, ultimately enhancing market connectivity for farming communities.
RPCO BARMM emphasized that the activity is expected to strengthen project implementation and technical preparation while contributing to the sustainable development of the Teduray-Lambangian Ancestral Domain and promoting inclusive economic growth in the region.

๐๐๐๐: The Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project recently conducted a coordination meeting with the Provincial Government of Maguindanao del Sur to discuss updates and implementation concerns of ongoing subprojects across various components.
The meeting was led by Deputy Project Director Tong D. Pinguiaman together with component representatives, while Engr. Jhedani Ulangkaya headed the provincial delegation.
During the meeting, the different components presented updates on ADAIF consultations, infrastructure subprojects, and enterprise-related activities. Discussions also covered project timelines, coordination efforts, and preparations for the Joint Technical Review of subprojects in Datu Hoffer Ampatuan and Datu Saudi Ampatuan, including updates on the Farm-to-Market Road with bridge project in Guindulungan.
The meeting strengthened coordination among MIADP-RPCO BARMM, the Provincial Government of Maguindanao del Sur, and the Provincial Government of Maguindanao del Sur, reinforcing their commitment to ensure the timely and effective implementation of development interventions for Indigenous Peoples' communities in the province.

The Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIADP) โ RPCO BARMM recently conducted an Enterprise Assessment and Capacity Development Workshop for four Indigenous Peoplesโ Organizations (IPOs) under the Concept Note Proposal in Maguindanao del Sur.
Participating organizations in this activity are FAFIB, SIBPWO, KOTFA, and MADCPC, which are engaged in ginger, peanut, and corn production, as well as consolidation and marketing.
The activity aimed to assess the organizationsโ readiness, operational efficiency, governance, financial management, and sustainability, identify gaps, and develop targeted interventions for enterprise growth.
The workshop featured focused group discussions on organization and administration, enterprise operations, financial management, and marketing and inclusivity, along with a Training Needs Assessment to identify membersโ skills and capacity gaps.
Participants also conducted a SWOT Analysis anchored in the ADAIF framework, highlighting resilience and adaptability as key strengths and limited access to opportunities, capital, and mechanization as major challenges.
The activity concluded with membersโ and enterprise profiling, which will serve as the basis for preparing a three-year development plan to strengthen the organizations further and support sustainable enterprise development.

GENERAL SANTOS CITY- To strengthen the participantsโ ability to forecast project costs with accuracy and confidence, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform โ Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project โ Regional Project Coordination Office BARMM (MAFARโMIADP RPCO BARMM) conducted a training on Preparation of Cost Estimates and Construction Schedule Management on April 12โ15, 2026.
The activity strengthened participantsโ technical competencies in project costing, construction planning, and geospatial technologies, enabling accurate budgeting, efficient resource allocation, data-driven decision-making, and the sustainable implementation of development projects.
During the session, Engr. Andar S. Papua discussed bridge cost estimation, providing participants with practical knowledge on calculating expenses for materials, labor, equipment, and other construction requirements.
He emphasized the importance of accurate cost estimation in ensuring proper budgeting, efficient resource management, project accountability, and the prevention of financial risks during project implementation.
Furthermore, a GIS and drone mapping session was conducted to refresh PLGU engineers on field assurance. Edzrafael Usman discussed Pix4D basics, focusing on processing aerial images into maps and 3D models for project validation, monitoring, and planning.
Participants also learned proper drone flight procedures, including stable flight, appropriate altitude, and sufficient image overlap to ensure accurate, high-quality mapping outputs.
Complementing the activity, Al-Wahab Harun facilitated a QGIS training that strengthened participantsโ skills in digital mapping and geospatial data management, focusing on spatial analysis, map layout creation, and proper mapping procedures for more accurate and data-driven project planning and implementation.
Overall, the training significantly enhanced the participantsโ technical knowledge and practical skills in project implementation, equipping them with stronger capabilities in cost estimation, construction scheduling, drone mapping, and geospatial analysis to support more accurate planning, efficient resource management, transparent monitoring, informed decision-making, and the sustainable delivery of development projects that genuinely benefit BARMM communities.

The Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIADP) โ RPCO BARMM recently conducted an Entrepreneurial Mindset and Values Formation Activity for two Indigenous Peopleโs Organizations, FETEFAL and SOLTDU, in Datu Hoffer Ampatuan, Maguindanao del Sur. The activity, attended by local government representatives, aimed to strengthen participantsโ entrepreneurial mindset, values, and attitudes, equipping them to navigate challenges, seize opportunities, and make informed business decisions.
Through interactive exercises, participants reflected on personal dreams, including owning farm animals, achieving community recognition, and passing professional exams. They also completed reflective statements and a Personal Entrepreneurial Competencies (PECs) Self-Rating, which revealed strengths in resilience, growth mindset, risk-taking, and a commitment to learning from challenges. Facilitators guided participants in identifying both strengths and areas for development, fostering self-awareness, confidence, and practical entrepreneurial skills.
Complementing the activity, a Baseline Survey was conducted among the members and officers of FETEFAL and SOLTDU, led by Sustainable Development Solutions Corp. (SDS). The survey captured comprehensive information on the organizationsโ capacities, resources, practices, and development needs. Its results will guide tailored interventions, capacity-building programs, and progress monitoring, ensuring future initiatives respond to the real needs of the IPOs and their members.
Key lessons learned included the importance of self-awareness, goal-setting, and reflective practice as foundations for entrepreneurial success. The activity also underscored the value of supportive facilitation and community engagement, inspiring participants to think, act, and grow as entrepreneurs while promoting collaboration, empowerment, and sustainable community development.

Site validation of the proposed infrastructure subprojects in Datu Saudi Ampatuan and Datu Unsay Ampatuan, Maguindanao del Sur was successfully undertaken on April 21-23 by the Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Program - BARMM.
The team confirmed that the proposed 3.3-kilometer farm-to-market road from Sitio Brownstone, Barangay Kabengi to Sitio Lihon, Barangay Ahan in Datu Saudi Ampatuan is feasible, based on the current condition of the existing earth road.
Moreover, the team conducted site validation in Barangay Macalag, Datu Unsay Ampatuan, for the proposed farm-to-market road, potable water system, and multi-purpose building, estimating a 5-kilometer road from Barangay Mantao to Barangay Macalag and a water system serving around 167 households.
The activity is expected to strengthen project implementation and technical preparation while contributing to the development of the Teduray-Lambangian Ancestral Domain.

MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR- To strengthen collaboration among IP communities and local authorities, the MIADP MAFAR-BARMM successfully conducted a 4-day activity in the Teduray-Lambangian Ancestral Domain with support from Mafar Municipal Officers of Datu Hoffer, Datu Saudi, and Datu Unsay Ampatuan at Sitio Bagong, Brgy. Kabengi, Datu Saudi Ampatuan on April 20โ23, 2026.
The four Indigenous Peoples Organizations (IPOs) are Sitio Bagung IP Women Organization (SIBPWO), Faguyagay De Fintailan Dub Bagong (FAFIB), Koyoray de Teduray Farmers Association (KOTFA), and Sayap Indigenous Peoples Women's Organization (SIPEWO).
The first two days focused on IPO Strengthening, where participants enhanced their understanding of functional organizations, governance, social and environmental safeguards, and enterprise management.
On April 22โ23, a Concept Note Writeshop guided IPOs in developing agri-enterprise proposals aligned with MIADP. Outputs included:
Corn Production, Consolidation, Processing & Marketing Ginger Production, Consolidation & Marketing Peanut Production, Consolidation, Processing & Marketing (2 IPOs).
Also, participants showed strong engagement and commitment, successfully drafting concept notes they aim to submit soon to improve their enterprises, support their families, and invest in their childrenโs education.

Setting the stage for efficient and accountable project implementation, the Pre-Construction Conference for the subproject โConstruction of Multi-Purpose Building with Solar Dryer Pavement in Barangay Tausan, Hadji Muhtamad, Basilanโ was successfully conducted on April 14โ15, 2026, bringing together key offices and implementers to align plans, address potential challenges, and ensure a smooth transition toward construction that directly benefits the farming community.
The Pre-Construction Conference focused on equipping all participants with the necessary information on project objectives and pre-implementation requirements, bringing together Project Support Office (PSO) representatives, Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) officials, and RPCO BARMM to ensure coordinated, well-informed project ex*****on.
On the first day, the discussions highlighted the presentation on Embedding Social Dimensions into Infrastructure Delivery and the AD-INFRA Pre-Construction Orientation, lectured by Engr. Andar Papua, RPCO BARMMโs Infrastructure Development Specialist with a focus on technical compliance, social dimensions, and implementation protocols.
Further presentations covered the Financial Aspect in Infrastructure Delivery, Institutional Strengthening Action Plan, and Applied Geotagging Technology for Contractors and Project Implementers.
The activity concluded with a feedback and concerns session, where participants raised clarifications and recommendations to support the smooth implementation of the project.

HADJI MUHTAMAD, BASILAN โ The Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIADP) Regional Project Coordination Office (RPCO) BARMM marked a significant milestone in community development with its first groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a multipurpose building with a solar dryer. The activity was held on April 13, 2026, in Barangay Tausan, Pilas Island,.
The project features an 8-meter by 23-meter multipurpose building with a total floor area of 184 square meters, as well as a 20-meter by 21-meter solar dryer covering 420 square meters, both designed to enhance post-harvest processing, improve product quality, and help farmers secure better market prices.
The ceremony was attended by Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Nurissa Laja Kahing, alongside key representatives from the Local Government Unit (LGU), including Municipal IPMR Elvin Gadja, as well as procurement personel from the Project Support Office (PSO), and the Ministry of Indigenous Peoplesโ Affairs (MIPA), reflecting strong inter-agency collaboration and unified support for the initiative.
The project is expected to significantly improve the quality of copra and increase overall productivity through the provision of appropriate infrastructure, enabling the Indigenous Peoples (IP) community within the ancestral domain of the Sama Bangingi to become more efficient and resilient in post-harvest handling, storage, and production, while ensuring a steady supply of high-quality agricultural products and strengthening local livelihoods.

๐๐๐๐: The Mindanao Inclusive Agriculture Development Project (MIADP) โ RPCO BARMM conducted a series of IPO site visitations in Datu Unsay and Datu Saudi, Maguindanao del Sur, as part of the validation process and in preparation for the implementation of Enterprise Subprojects in BARMM on April 7-8, 2026.
In collaboration with the dedicated provincial team of Maguindanao del Sur, whose active participation, coordination, and support were instrumental in ensuring the smooth implementation and overall success of the initiative.
