I know- I have been a terrible poster as of late, but last night was so great I had to share.

Last night we had our monthly Fem City meeting at Flights Wine Bar in their private room. If you don’t know what Fem City is, it is an incredible women’s business organization that has a global presence, and we have a local chapter here in Bend, Oregon. Fem City not only provides a supportive net work but also valuable resources in terms of connections and an online library of trainings, resources, etc.

We were missing a few last night, but it was great to get together in such a special place (btw this room is perfect for small events and the food and wine was amazing).

Monday Motivation! Make a plan or plan to fail!

So many have been quoted with this one over the years (Winston Churchill has a version that says he who fails to plan, plans to fail) but I'd like to think Ben Franklin said it first!

Planning is VITAL in almost every aspect of your business. From obviously having a communication/marketing plan, a content plan, a finance plan ( when are you going to invoice, what are your terms, etc.) and one we think is oh so important for small businesses, a TIME plan. Scheduling time to work on your business, to work on these plans, and time you just devote to the business. May it is 2 hours every Friday or whatever, but you plan the time, schedule it, and stick to it!

Do you plan out time just for yourself to work on your business?

I got this phone calendar call Seize the Day, which has a daily quote for each day. I put it on my desk some days I remember to rip it off some days I don’t but this one’s a good one.

You and only you are completely responsible for the direction you take your life in. The weekends are about recharging, so make sure you make this one a great one.

and hopefully if you’re doing it right, you won’t see this post until Monday because you’re off-line all weekend 😉

Every action has a reaction. Everything you are doing is motion. So while something you do today may not get you to your goal immediately- don’t discount that it is forward motion and it ALL ADDS UP!

Commit to your plan and keep taking action.
