🚨 BATTLE ON THE MOUNTAIN 🚨
Tickets are moving fast for one of the biggest basketball events Vancouver has seen this summer.
On June 13 at SFU West Gym, the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons bring one of Asia’s premier university basketball programs to Vancouver to take on the Drive Basketball All-Stars.
The Fighting Maroons arrive with a reputation for winning, toughness, and high-level talent. Known for producing professional players and competing in one of the most passionate basketball environments in the world, they represent one of the biggest international challenges ever brought to BC.
The Drive All-Stars will answer with a roster featuring 3 of the greatest players to ever come through Drive Basketball and 3 BC legends:
🔥 Jacob Holt
🔥 Irish Coquia
🔥 Jermaine Haley
These players helped shape BC basketball and built legacies that still inspire the next generation of hoopers.
This is more than an exhibition game.
It’s local pride versus international talent.
It’s Vancouver versus Manila.
It’s two basketball cultures meeting on one court.
Expect elite shot-making, physical play, high-level ex*****on, and big-time moments from the opening tip.

A special accomplishment for a special group.
Congratulations to every player and coach on our DRIVE adidas Red 15U, 16U, and 17U teams for punching their ticket to the adidas 3SSB Championships in South Carolina.
The 3SSB Championships bring together some of the best teams in North America, and earning a spot is a reflection of the work these athletes have put in all year.
Proud of this group and excited to see them represent DRIVE and British Columbia on one of the biggest stages in grassroots basketball. 🇨🇦🔥

The University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons are one of the most iconic basketball programs in the Philippines.
UP basketball is bigger than most people here realize. They play in the UAAP, where games are televised nationally, arenas are packed, and players are treated like stars. Their fan base is massive, their alumni support is unmatched, and they’ve become one of the premier programs in all of Asian college basketball.
When the Fighting Maroons travel, people show up.
That’s why this game is creating so much excitement in Vancouver’s Filipino community.
On the other side, the Drive Basketball All-Stars will feature two of the best young Filipino players anywhere in the world:

Both players have built outstanding careers and have represented BC basketball at the highest levels. They are widely respected for their skill, leadership, and ability to compete with anyone.
