• Amp stepped into the keyboard chair of George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic around 1985–1996, succeeding the legendary Bernie Worrell.• Even as his independent career flourished, Amp continued—whenever possible—to collaborate, tour, and perform with P-Funk.• Joining P-Funk marked one of the most defining chapters of Amp’s musical journey. It sharpened his creative innovation, deepened his exploration, and expanded his improvisational voice.• He cherished the time, lessons, and lived experience gained while touring and creating alongside George Clinton—and carried that wisdom forward through the music he made and the artists he mentored and uplifte. **Edit/Correction: “J Dilla” (not J-Dilla).** (Interview: “P-Funk Conversation” with George Clinton, Ann Delisi & Ray Chew at Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History - 1/29/2026)
