I feel like this is a topic that may give rise between two parties, but just with anything else, only YOU know what is good for you.
There are people who take caffeine because it became a habitual morning routine and there are people that think they need caffeine, but does nothing to benefit their health. There are also people who refuse to take caffeine because of said side effects but 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 greatly benefit if the right dose is consumed at the correct time.
Caffeine is classified as a drug and should not be consumed for the hell of it. I understand there may be people that have grown to consuming caffeine as part of their life growing up but think again about your consumption. 🤔 When do you consume this? Are you having high anxiety? Are you restless at night? Do you feel youre not getting enough sleep?
As we age or over consume caffeine, the effects can be detrimental to your health. This post contains information how to strategically consume caffeine and how much you actually need to get the effects expected of caffeine.

The visual differences are just the tip of the ice berg. 🏔
The real grind started two years ago. I say "real grind" because that's when I decided to train to compete. Anytime before that I was still exploring what fitness meant to me AND because I kept popping babies. 😁 I didn't get to step on stage but the experience was another level and I loved it. I learned a lot about MYSELF. Alot of adjustments were made & although people see it as extreme it allowed me to find my capacity & capabilities. And damn! There was alot more to me than I thought
This is what Ive learned...
● Your mindset plays a huge factor because excuses are your own limitations and no one else's.
● TIME! No body has time anymore! That's a load of B.S. Put yourself FIRST. I don't care who you are, CARVE OUT that time, pencil in YOUR time on that calendar. I know you have time. The more busier you are the more important it is for YOU to have that time for YOURSELF.
● Its okay to ask for help! Being a parent and the oldest of the siblings it was rare to ask for help or even accept when offers to help. But you CAN'T do it all! Do what you can or want to do, delegate your other work to someone who is capable of doing it.
● Sleep! This is an important one. This is where you recover. Not just for your body, but for your mind too! You need to recharge. Energy has been depleted throughout the day every cell and neuron have been working at full capacity and it's important for the hormones to level out, muscles, blood and oxygen to regenerate for the next day.
● Food! It's the quality of food you eat. Quantity depends on your fitness goals. Your body isn't going to be at full functionality if you fuel yourself with junk majority of the time. Excercise or no excercise quality food is optimal even just for basic functionality and mental clarity, you need to eat right.
Last and most definitely not the least....
● ADJUSTMENTS TAKE TIME! There are so many things to consider, so many things to factor in. It's going to take time to find what's right and what's wrong for you. Try different things, MANY different things. You'll be surprised what you might like.
Just do it!

Ever wonder why you sometimes suffer from the worst headaches ever? Chances are it may be the poor choices in nutrition. Headaches are just one of the many chronic illness most people suffer from because of poor diet choices.
Other examples are 👇
▪︎athsma
▪︎arthritis
▪︎fibromayalga
▪︎high blood pressure
..just to name a few.
When your body lacks the proper nutrition it becomes difficult for your body and its organs to work effectively. This causes strain on other organs to work even harder. Each organ has its own job to do and when each of those organs has to pick up slack from another part of the body it starts to wear down and eventually becomes an illness.
This illness is a signal to tell the brain something is wrong and something needs to be fixed. Most people will gravitate to OTC meds to get that quick relief. But here's the thing, OTC meds just temporarily masks the pain and not necessarily fixes the problem.
This is where a perfect balanced diet comes in. Not to say to avoid meds altogether, but not to rely on meds. Fill your plate with nutrient dense foods to ensure your body is getting all the nutrients it needs to properly function.
Your stomach is the gateway to your health. Make healthier choices!

Hammies feeling tight?! 🍖 I Gotchu!!
Some examples that get the hamstrings tight:
□ Hamstring Curls
□ RDL's
□ Kettlebell Swings
□ Single Leg Glute Bridge
□ Nordic Ham Curls....or your hams could be tight in general, either way anyone can benefit in a little yoga, especially body builders! 😉
This simple basic yoga pose, uttanasana, a.k.a forward fold is great for relieving tension in the spine, strengthens your core and gives you a nice stretch in the hamstrings.
The great thing about yoga is that there many different variations of each pose to suit your flexibility.
It's okay if you're not touching your nose to your knees. If you're only able to bend halfway and reach your hands to your upper thigh, that's okay too.
You can use props like
○ yoga blocks
○ books
○ the wall
○ chair, etc ..to help you gain stability and flexibility.
Yoga is a journey in itself. You don't have to be flexible or slim or female to reap the benefits that yoga gives you.
